Dr. Kalaitzandonakes was invited to present the Lane Lecture at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. His presentation, "GMOs, Product Labels and Consumer Behavior: Sentiments and Acts," examined the theoretical and empirical underpinnings of understanding consumer preferences towards GM foods and presented empirical evidence of consumer choices towards branded food products with GM labels in the Netherlands and China. He will also discuss the policy context and implications from such research.
